Veronica took me to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.  I liked most of the movie, but the meatball exploding gave me a stomach ache.  Turns out the movie was the third biggest boxoffice in September – ever.  Check out the trailer:

Shorts is a movie about a bunch of kids who find a ‘wishing rock’.  Movies based around ‘wishing’ require that the people making wishes are idiots. Why? Because if they were smart the movie wouldn’t be interesting.  The only reason it is interesting is that they wish so poorly. The other thing about this movie is that it isn’t a full movie, but a bunch of shorter movies taped together.

Wow, the 3D effects were amazing in Monsters vs Aliens. I hate those red and blue glasses you get at normal 3D films, but this system is called Tru3D. The glasses are clear, instead using some sort of linearized polarization instead of the standard red/blue tint according to my Dad.  Good stuff!!!

Dad and I caught Race to Witch Mountain this weekend at North Park. I really enjoyed the film (Dad did too). The reviews said it would be too scary for me, but I have no idea what they were talking about. It was lots of fun and pretty cool too.

Dad and I were looking for a movie to watch on iTunes and pickings were slim.  Anyway, we watched the Spiderwick Chronicles. The movie was ‘okay’.

Wall-e was an excellent movie.  Great effects, great production.  Awesome.  My dad only fell asleep a few times.

My dad and I went to see Get Smart this weekend.  Lots of funny moments, my favorite part was when when the swordfish stuck into the car.  Worth watching with your mom or dad.

36 year old Dad rating: B-

Dad didn’t think The Hulk was appropriate for a six year old.  Anyway, he went ahead and saw it, but wasn’t too thrilled, only giving it a B-
